10-Year Forecast Projects 8,200 New Business Jet Shipments

Over the next decade, manufacturers are expected to deliver 8,200 new business jets valued at $212.0 billion at retail prices, and more than 2,725 business turboprops, a modest increase in the market according to the Aviation Week Network’s Fleet & MRO Forecast. The business jet forecast for 2020 to 2029 is down somewhat from the 10-year outlook released last year, reflecting the most recent slowing of the market, the anticipation of an upcoming decline in the U.S. and world economies along with ongoing trade disputes, which could impact the industry, said Brian Kough, Aviation Week Senior Director of Forecasts and Aerospace Insights. The business aviation sales market in 2019 began well, but has since flattened, Kough said. King Air 350i: Fill The Seats, Fill The Tanks And Feel The Difference

Beechcraft King Air 350i, the second-generation Model B300, is significantly quieter, more comfortable and more capable than the original aircraft. It’s been in production since 2009 and more than 440 units have been delivered, including 35 to launch Wheels Up, the model’s launch customer.

The 350i features triple-layer skin panel insulation, dynamically tuned vibration dampers, thicker thermal insulation and an acoustically isolated interior shell. The package is tuned to sop up noise at 1,500 prop rpm, reducing the interior sound level by 4 dB, resulting in a 78-dB cabin in cruise.

Aircraft Bluebook At-a-Glance has reviewed the current market status of the Gulfstream G550 business jet. Research for this study was obtained in part from Aircraft Bluebook, Aircraft Bluebook’s Historical Value Reference, the FAA’s registry web site and various trade services.

Demand
The G550 fleet sits at approximately 564 active aircraft. At the time of this writing, approximately 20 G550s, representing approximately 3.3 percent of the active fleet, were reported for sale. Last year, approximately 40 sales appear to have occurred with the days on market ranging anywhere from 200 to 250+ days.

Dassault Falcon 7X Aircraft Bluebook At-A-Glance

Aircraft Bluebook At-a-Glance has reviewed the current market status of the Dassault Falcon 7X business jet. Research for this study was obtained in part from Aircraft Bluebook, Aircraft Bluebook’s Historical Value Reference, the FAA’s registry web site and various trade services.

Demand

The Falcon 7X fleet currently is approximately 278 aircraft. At the time of this writing, approximately 15 Falcon 7X aircraft, representing approximately 5.4% percent of the fleet, were reported for sale. Average time on market for wellequipped aircraft in good maintenance condition appears to be around 200 days. Over the last year approximately 30 to 35 aircraft appear to have transacted.

Pricing

Current offerings for the Falcon 7X range from low-$18 million to $30+ million. Airframe time varies from several hundred hours to greater than 4,000 hours, depending on the year-model.
